I mostly do my reading on the commute to and from work. I always make sure that I have a book in my handbag to make the most of my time :)A Bookish Spacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15352870732457077916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2323931970136736618.post-39098416535859472422010-05-19T08:16:05.756-07:002010-05-19T08:16:05.756-07:00I think my favourite time to read is on a weekend ...I think my favourite time to read is on a weekend morning in the summer, if I've had a really good night's sleep, and I can open the windows and lounge with a cup of tea for an hour or two. Makes me ready to face anything! Or, the complete opposite of that, bedtime in winter, when it's freezing, even snowing, outside and I can curl up under the duvet, preferably by candlelight... livin' the dream!

Karen - I'm so enjoying the Manics book. I used to be really into them, until 1995, so this is a total trip down memory lane for me :)Luluhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16226948028302431042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2323931970136736618.post-36198060105240632742010-05-18T18:33:07.609-07:002010-05-18T18:33:07.609-07:00I love this post! It all depends how tired I am but I can never go to bed without a book and without reading at least a page.Astrid (Mrs.B)https://www.blogger.com/profile/00504736603540947661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2323931970136736618.post-7709394749622516472010-05-18T14:24:23.655-07:002010-05-18T14:24:23.655-07:00I go through stages of being able to read for ages...I go through stages of being able to read for ages when I go to bed, but this depends on my children's sleeping habits! But then like you, I'm nodding off after a few sentences, which actually I find really frustrating. I prefer to read indoors, somewhere quiet and cosy.
ps. I noticed you're reading the book about Manic Street Preachers...I read it quite a few years back when I was still living in cardiff, it is totally brilliant, and now I want to read it again! cheers, karen xKaren Roderickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15564451791750894200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2323931970136736618.post-19472829246622462542010-05-18T13:40:10.578-07:002010-05-18T13:40:10.578-07:00I love those pictures,my favourite place to read i...I love those pictures,my favourite place to read is outside, especially in a quiet spot on the beach on a hot ( well warmish,I live in Scotland)day with a good book.
Brilliant post!
Hugs, xxxxxBeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10019941326272499099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2323931970136736618.post-18079443799308742042010-05-18T12:22:01.834-07:002010-05-18T12:22:01.834-07:00Lovely post Lulu - so many ideas for reading locat...Lovely post Lulu - so many ideas for reading locations!

I have never been able to read in the bath - I can't get into a comfortable position for some reason.

My reading sneaks are:

The underground/on the bus - when I lived in London I always read on my way to and from work.

When dinner is cooking - there is always ten minutes here and five minutes here when you don't need to be doing anything.

My approach is to always have a book in my handbag - that way you can't get caught out!

Thank you for sharing a splendid post.

HannahHannah Stonehamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11139146341592918233noreply@blogger.com
